Woodward Product Training

Kian marine Controls offers both theoretical and practical training on many Woodward products. This facility allows engineers and technicians to get a comprehensive understanding on how Woodward controls equipment operate and our training facility contains several demonstration models and simulation set-ups for standard and customized Woodward controls.

Class #100 – Mechanical Acutators & Governors

This course will give participants the opportunity to learn and review the fundamentals of hydro-mechanical governors and actuators. Participants will learn about the theory, terminology and control principles of the units together with developing a better understanding of their applications. The course will also include a practical element with demonstrations on set up and fault finding.

Class #101 – 2301A/2301D Load Sharing & Speed Control

The objective of this course is to provide participants with the opportunity to learn and understand more about load sharing speed controls. The course will cover a foundation on governor control theory and provide the participants with an understanding of power management issues and the ability to describe the concepts of basic adjustments, paralleling and droop.

Class #102 – 723Plus Digital Speed Control

The objectives of this class are to provide the participants with the opportunity to learn more about the 723plus controls. The course will cover both the hardware and software aspects and during the course programming / monitoring with Woodward Watch Window will be done.

Class #103 – DSLC-2 / MSLC-2

The aim of this course is to provide the participants with the opportunity to develop an understanding about commissioning and servicing power management systems using the DSLCII and MSLCII controls. Participants will learn about the theory, installation, programming, operation and maintenance of the DSLC-2 and MSLC-2 control system both in theory and through hands on experience using simulators and other modules.

Class #104 – EasyGen 3200 Power Management Control

This course will provide participants with the opportunity to understand and learn the basics of power management using the Woodward easYgen 3200 control system. Participants will learn the theory, installation, programming, operation and maintenance of the easYgen3200 system with hands on practical exercises.

Class #105 – EasyGen 3500/LS

This course will provide participants with the opportunity to understand and learn the basics of power management using the Woodward easYgen 3500 control system. Participants will learn the theory, installation, programming, operation and maintenance of the easYgen3500 system with hands on practical exercises.
